Terms of Use
Effective September 12, 2026
These Terms govern your use of localfixquotes.com and the services provided by LocalFixQuotes (“we,” “us”). By using the site or submitting a request, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. What we are (and aren't)
LocalFixQuotes is a referral and lead-generation service. We are not a contractor and do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any HVAC, roofing, or other home-service work. We connect homeowners with independent, third-party contractors who provide their own quotes, perform their own work, and are solely responsible for it. Any agreement for services is between you and the contractor.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and the owner of the property (or authorized by the owner) to submit a quote request. You agree to provide accurate, current information and not to submit requests on behalf of others without their permission.
3. Quote requests and contact
When you submit a request, we share it with up to 4 contractors in the relevant trade, selected by location and service type. You consent to be contacted by us and those contractors as described in the consent language on the form and in our Privacy Policy. You are under no obligation to hire any contractor we refer, and we make no promise that any contractor will contact you, provide a quote, or be available in your timeframe.
4. Contractor independence, licensing, and insurance
Where Texas requires a license for a trade (for example, HVAC contractors licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation), we ask participating contractors to confirm an active license. Texas does not license roofing contractors statewide; for roofers we ask for proof of insurance, a physical local address, and references. We do not independently guarantee licensing, insurance, quality, pricing, or safety. You are responsible for verifying any contractor's credentials, reviewing quotes, and deciding whom to hire.
5. Compensation disclosure
We receive fees from contractors for the requests we provide to them. This does not affect the price you pay a contractor; contractors set their own pricing.
6. Contractor lead purchases
Contractors who request leads through the site agree that leads are provided for their own use in responding to the homeowner's request, may not be resold or shared, and must be contacted in compliance with all applicable laws (including the TCPA, the Telemarketing Sales Rule, and Texas law, including Texas insurance-deductible rules for roofing work). Pricing, credit policies, and delivery terms are as stated on the relevant contractor page or in a separate written agreement, which controls in the event of conflict.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to submit false or misleading information, use automated tools to submit requests, interfere with the site's operation, or use the site for any unlawful purpose. We may block or remove requests we believe are fraudulent or abusive.
8. Content and intellectual property
Site content is owned by LocalFixQuotes or its licensors and is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. Educational content (such as cost ranges, repair guidance, or insurance-claim information) is general information, not a quote, professional advice, or legal advice, and may not reflect your specific situation.
9. Disclaimers
THE SITE AND OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE QUALITY, SAFETY, LEGALITY, OR TIMELINESS OF ANY CONTRACTOR'S SERVICES, OR THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOCALFIXQUOTES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR DEALINGS WITH ANY CONTRACTOR. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE OR SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LocalFixQuotes from claims arising out of your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your dealings with any contractor.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
